Strengthening inclusive cybercrime policymaking: Europe regional consultations

Europe consultations

In 2022, the United Nations will start negotiating a new convention on cybercrime. The EU Cyber Direct project, together with the Chatham House’s International Security Programme, organises a series of regional consultations to discuss the future draft international convention.

This virtual meeting served as a multistakeholder platform to gather civil society organisations, academia, the private sector, and other non-state stakeholders from the wider European region. Participants had the opportunity to share knowledge and views on the new convention and related issues.

Patryk Pawlak, Director of the EU Cyber Direct project, and Joyce Hakmeh, Senior Research Fellow at Chatham House, moderated the session.

Key takeaways from the discussion can be found in the event summary.
