EU Cyber Direct is seeking to establish a network of curators to create online content for the Cyber Diplomacy Atlas - a one-stop-shop for sources and analysis about policies of individual countries, regions, and organisations.

The Atlas aims to become a valuable research source and a tool in supporting the work of EU cyber diplomats and policy makers by providing a comprehensive overview of country positions on international law, norms of responsible behaviour, resilience, and cybercrime. Additionally, the Atlas facilitates the comparison of country positions and the search for material relevant to their cyber and digital policies.

What are the expected tasks?

The new network of Atlas curators will become an important part of the team. Each curator will be responsible for:

·  drafting short content regarding individual country positions on international law, norms of responsible state behaviour, resilience, cybercrime and new technologies (when relevant)

· providing regular updates and sharing relevant background documents and analysis regarding the specific country.

Appointed curators will be responsible for one of the following regions:

· MENA and Gulf Countries

· Sub-Saharan Africa

· Latin America and the Caribbean

· Eastern Europe and Western Balkans

· South-East Asia

· South Asia

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a group of 10 motivated individuals interested in cyber policy and capable of conducting basic research. Ideal candidates will also have specific language skills important for finding information about their respective countries /regions of interest. Previous experience with cyber-related research will be considered an asset.

· Duration: from June 2022 to September 2024.

· Fees: the curator’s fee for this assignment will vary between €1,000 and €3,000 depending on the region and scope of the work to be performed.
