Resolution “The EU in a changing global environment”

The European Parliament’s position on the new Global Strategy was presented in the resolution ‘The EU in a changing global environment – a more connected, contested and complex world’, adopted on 13 April 2016.

The resolution focuses on four main themes:

• Defending the European Union’s people, states, societies and values;
• Stabilising Europe’s wider neighbourhood;
• Strengthening multilateral global governance;
• Engaging with the EU, national parliaments and European citizens.
