Cybersecurity Act

The Act establishes a mechanism for cybersecurity information sharing among private-sector and federal government bodies. It excludes liability for private entities that share cybersecurity information in compliance with specific procedures, and it authorizes various bodies to monitor information systems and operate defensive measures.

The Act also bolsters cybersecurity protections federally. It also aims to improve the cybersecurity preparedness of critical information systems and networks.
